Taking measurements for our dog bodysuits:

Measure the back length 1 from the neck/back transition point to the base of the tail.

Now measure the chest circumference approximately two fingers behind the front legs. Make sure the tape measure fits snugly, but doesn't constrict your pet.

Optional for the dog - bodysuit with long legs: Measure the leg length 3 on the front leg from the armpit down to just below the front tarsal joint (this is the protruding nub on the back of the front legs).

Taking measurements for our heat pants:

Measure waist circumference A at the narrowest point in front of the hind legs. Your tape measure should fit snugly, but not constrict your pet.

Now measure the back length B from the waist ring to the base of the tail.

Then, directly from the base of the rod (where section B ends), measure as close to the rod as possible, between the thighs, and back to the waist ring (section C). Here, too, the tape measure should fit snugly, but should not cut into the skin.
